Double Four Patch Assembly Part 1

Pin the two triangles together carefully. Add one pin to the center...not pictured above.

Be exact.

After sewing the triangles together press open gently. Press the seam towards the darker fabric.
After sewing the triangles to form a square trim away the little tabs that will be extending out. Be carefull not to trim too much...be exact. Turn the square right side up, not like this photo where it's upside-down. This will help you not trim too much.


Replace the square in the row and continue until all triangles are sewn into squares.


Notice the picture above shows the squares without the trim job.

Trimming the tabs off makes it easier to get the next sewing more exact.

Start sewing together the squares in each line. This picture shows two squares that are already assembled being sewn to two others. This will complete one line of the block.
