Start on the bottom picture in this post.
The second edge gets the same two folds. Keep the corner neat and even and pin in place. Keep working around the quilt like this until all the backing/binding fabric is folded over and pinned in place to the front fabric.
Pin this in place along the entire quilt edge. When you get to the end fold the excess the same and hold that fold while you get ready to start folding the 2
nd edge.
Then fold this excess over one more time. This time the folded edge will be on the quilt top.
First fold the excess 1 inch in half toward the edge of the front of the quilt.
This method uses the backing fabric as the binding by folding it to the front of the quilt.
1 inch is enough for the fold over method if the batting is not too thick.
