King David's Crown Assembly Part 2

Assemble the Two outside rows of 5 smaller squares.
Assemble the Top and Bottom rows of 3 smaller squares.

Sew the Top and Bottom rows to the center. Make sure you line up the center seams.
Next sew on the side rows. Pin carefully.
Make sure points are lining up as you go.
The finished King David's Crown block.

I have to admit I am not very happy with this block. I have some points not lined up as well as I would like them and the outside rows seem to be bowing out.

King David's Crown Assembly Part 1

Sew together all the 1/4 and 1/2 squares on the outsides of this block.
Sew on one of the four pieces surrounding the large center square at a time. Use Point to Point to get the pieces centered.
Once two sides have been added you can then sew on the triangle.
Lay the triangle on and make sure it looks squared to the large center square...that is more important than lining up with the outside edges...although in a perfect block they will both be right on. Mine is slightly off. Pin it and sew.
Press it open and make sure the corner looks square. Trim the tabs off. Continue in the same manner sewing around the center square.
