Press the seams in toward the star and replace in the lay out.

Next, sew one star segment to another star segment. Make sure the fabric lines up well when you are pinning Point-to-Point. Also make sure your sewing in the center meets just at the proper point. This will be the focus of the block and points need to be sharp here.

Press the seams open and lay out next to the machine again.

Pin the center of the two segments first. Try to lay down all the seam allowances as flat as you can. This should not be a major problem as you pressed all the seams open. Sew Point-to-Point.

The center of the star should have all points meeting nicely. If sewing the two segments together brought the points together at the wrong place in the center then pick it out and re-do.
