Trust your freezer paper to guide you as you pin and sew. 
Press open the sets of two as you sew them together. 
Join the sets of 2 together. And complete the others if not joined yet.
You will have four sets of 4 and the center circle still waiting.
Join two sets of 4 to make 1/2 the plate.
