Tumbling Blocks Assembly Part 7

If you will set your blocks Diagonally, On Point, then you need to position your tumbling blocks so no part of the blocks are closer than 1 inch away from any edge. 1 1/2 inches away is better if possible.
If you do NOT know which way you will Set your quilt then you can set this aside as it is now and wait to applique this down to the background until you know.
Once you are happy with your tumbling blocks layout on the background fabric pin it in place with applique pins. Try not to make too much of a bump where the pins are. You will need an applique needle, a thimble and an all purpose thread the color of your Tumbling Blocks. I decided on the lighter green as it matched more of the blocks than the darker green. Applique the Blocks onto the background fabric using the back whip stitch demonstrated in class.
